4th of July Dangers (Article)
Halloween may be known as the scariest holiday of the year but 4th of July is certainly the most dangerous. Here are some ways you’re most likely to be injured this weekend.
1. Fireworks - Obviously. From exploding in your hand to setting fire to your yard these things might be the most destructive way to celebrate ever.
2. Rancid Potato Salad - Who decided to make a dish drowning in mayonnaise and left out in the sun for hours a staple at picnics? It makes no sense.
3. Dehydration/Heat Stroke - Don’t forget to drink some water in between all those beers you’re pounding out in the sun.
4. Gunshot - Nothing says USA! like firing your gun in the air and accidentally shooting yourself/someone else.
5. Shark Attack - Watch out when you’re swimming in the ocean this weekend. Nothing is tastier to sharks than plump human flesh stuffed with bbq.
6. Setting Yourself on Fire - I know throwing a ton of lighter fluid on the coals looks cool but burning your face off does not.
7. Competitive Eating Accident - Not everyone can be Joey Chestnut or Kobayashi so don’t even try stuffing all the hot dogs at the party into your mouth.
8. EXTREME Boredom - Waiting in line for hours to ride a 3 minute roller coaster can be brutal. Make sure you bring something to do.
9. Blood Loss - from the massive amount of mosquito bites you’ll be getting.
10. Depression - After July 4th, there’s only 2 months left in the summer season. Doesn’t it feel like it just got started?
